Description of our Services and our Pricing (2009/2010) and Available Dates for 2009

Hidden River Events has only a few Saturday dates remaining for the 2009 season and numerous dates for 2010. We are also pleased to announce, a new partnership with our neighbor, the historic “Whitemont Lodge,” for small weddings/events of 60 or less people. All dates are currently available for small weddings/events, all year round, at Whitemont Lodge, with reasonable pricing for smaller events. (Please review our website page “Whitemont Lodge” and “Rehearsal Dinners” for specific pricing for this venue. It’s beautiful too!)

Saturday dates remaining for Hidden River in 2009 are as follows:

Ma April 4, April 18, April 21, May 9, June 13, June 27, July 4, July 18, October 24, October 31, November 7 and 14

Numerous Friday and Sunday dates are also available for 2009 at Hidden River .

Available Dates in 2010

Most all dates remain open at present for 2010 at both Hidden River and Whitemont Lodge. Popular dates tend to book one year to eighteen months in advance. Clients who book before June 1, 2009 for a wedding/event to occur in 2010 or beyond will receive 2009 pricing.

As described below, our Clients have absolute freedom to select all their vendors (food, cake, music, photographer, etc.) However, if Clients would like our help, we can plan the entire event for them, utilizing our full service package options. If you find yourself interested in the May 9 or June 13 th dates and think these dates might come upon you too quickly, you might wish to consider our full service package. We can, for instance, secure all of your Vendors for as little as $60-$80/person (the venue included but not including beer/wine), depending upon the size of your guest list. Couples and their family/friends can simply show up for your wedding day and enjoy your event. We take the stress out of planning. For those who desire a nice wedding but do not treasure the idea of months and months of planning, this may be an appealing option. Hidden River Events hosts weddings, retreats, and other celebrations. Our mission is to provide a quality setting with the basic infrastructure needed for weddings and events with guest lists of up to 200 people. Our friendly and efficient service, the amazing beauty of the Swannanoa Valley with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, tasteful accommodations, and freedom to select your own vendors (including purchase of your own beer/wine), are what make us The Knot: North Carolina ’s 2008 choice as one of the best outdoor reception areas in the state. We are definitely a value plus!

Our Standard Value Packages include:

• White vis-à-vis horse drawn carriage with driver
• Set up and clean up of all items we offer, plus all the personnel needed to staff your event
• 3500 sf. of white, clear span tents on a permanent foundation (fully heated/enclosed, as needed)
• Easy access to supplied catering tent with bussing stations and work stations
• Hi-tech LED lighting system for tent, plus white lights strung around perimeter
• Torches for lighting, wrought iron hooks for hanging plants and flowers
• Access to property for ceremony rehearsal, bridal portraiture (at no additional cost)
• On-site natural swimming pond during open hours
• Beautiful solid mahogany 10’ x 10’ and 10’ x 13’ canopies for shading and accent areas
• Stainless steel/wicker covered ice chests
• Golf cart on site during the entire event w/driver
• Permanent, high quality bathroom facilities for guests
•  White rezin, padded folding chairs for ceremony and reception sites
• Dinner, serving, and cocktail tables for reception site
• High Tech sound system (I-pod compatible) with microphones
• Two sizes of firebowls for bonfires and/or s’mores bars, etc.

• Free access to our property for rehearsals and bridal portraiture

Optional Full or Partial Service Package by “Faithful Elegance”

For Clients who desire a full-service or partial-service package, (securing all or a few of the vendors on your behalf and set up of your event) please inquire. We offer affordable packages for those who seek a simply elegant event with absolutely no stress from planning. Couples can spend the months of the engagement, focusing on what matters most: taking care of each other and planning for a great life together, while trimming 100’s of dollars off of the cost of an average wedding in our area. You simply show up to our venue and your wedding is ready to go!

How to Secure our Venue at a Reduced Cost:

For our packages that include on-site housing, we provide, if our guests request it, Invoices on the beds of each guest. Some Clients who book with us choose to ask their guests to reimburse them for their housing. If, for instance, a Client has 30 guests on-site (the average number of guests people typically bring), and they are reimbursed for $50 per night for two nights, this cuts $3000 off of the cost of their event. Please note: A typical hotel room in our area is around $110 per night. We also have special rates with nearby inns and hotels for additional guests.
