Our vegetable and flower gardens are both aesthetically beautiful and functional in that we are able to provide a significant number of the flowers used in our weddings and when possible, our caterers purchase food from our farm and other local growers. Each year, we add something more to our gardens: southeast native perennials, more varieties of cut flowers, a greenhouse built out of reclaimed lumber and windows, the conversion of a small storage barn to a flower shop where couples can meet directly with our florist. We do not use chemicals and we purchase non-GMO seeds for the most green wedding possible.
The land in our valley has sustained generations of families, as the oldest Native American archeological site is just yards from our river ceremony site. The mountains that surround our valley are older than the Himalayans. Our couples feel when they are here, that they are joining their lives in a fertile valley, rich with history, and providing nutrition and beauty for generations. Couples bring their children back for family vacations and photo shoots and just to enjoy a picnic along the river, marking the spot where they were wed.
