REHEARSAL DINNERS

We have three options for rehearsal dinners:

  • Couples who have booked their wedding with us and have the Craggie View house in their package can have an elegantly simple event on the deck of the Craggie View house for up to 42 people, with all infrastructure included in the package price, at no additional cost.
  • Couples who have booked their wedding with us with or without the Craggie View house can have an event of any size on the grounds of the farm or at the tent complex.
  • Couples who are wedding elsewhere can book a rehearsal dinner package with us
  • Couples who have booked their wedding elsewhere can pay a venue rental fee and have a DIY rehearsal dinner event

FOR COUPLES WHO HAVE BOOKED A SATURDAY OR MONDAY-WEDNESDAY WEDDING, WITH OUR CRAGGIE VIEW HOUSE INCLUDED

Saturday weddings automatically include 4 onsite vacation rental houses in the package.  One of those houses includes Craggie View, a home which sits on a plateau, overlooking the Swannanoa Valley.  Monday-Wednesday weddings, include the option of adding this house to their packages. A large deck spans the front of the home and behind it is a covered, inside porch.  Next to the home is a large shady yard. All three of these locations: the deck, the porch, and the shady yard, are suited for the set up of a rehearsal dinner for up to 42 people.  Packages that include the Craggie View home include the infrastructure for a rehearsal dinner event and/or a morning after type event: chairs, tables, linens, dishes, utensils, bar equipment, etc.  Couples are able to have a DIY rehearsal event, using this infrastructure, or they can contract through us to have everything taken care of.  We have seen people grill out, have low country boils, smoke pigs, hire food trucks, order out pizza, heat up casseroles, have black tie dinners, etc.  This is an extremely affordable option because it foregoes any additional venue rental or other fees with us or at any other venue.

If Saturday or Monday-Wednesday couples desire a larger than 42 person event, whether they have booked the Craggie View house or not, they have the option of paying extra for a venue rental the night beforeif the space is available..  With this comes the option of having a rehearsal dinner anywhere on the property, for as many guests as they would like.  Some people limit the actual dinner to a relatively small amount and then send invitations for a meet and greet to everyone who has come to town for the wedding.  We have seen bluegrass bands down by the river; food trucks; field days with games, henna parties, etc. Options abound.

When a couple chooses this option to have a larger event, they pay a venue rental fee, a per person set up fee, and the cost of whatever vendors they secure through Hidden River or on their own.

REHEARSAL DINNER ONLY OPTION:

Couples have two options at Hidden River if they are having their wedding at another location.  They can contract with us for a complete rehearsal dinner package or they can pay a venue rental fee for a completely DIY event.
